Justin started our garden! We all know that Kelly has black thumbs, it's Justin that has the greens! We worked our butts off clearing out the back area of our yard. We took out two unproductive fruit trees, trimmed the cherry tree, tore up the 20 year old raised planter boxes, tilled the area, prepared traditional hills and rows and fenced it in to keep out kids and weenies. We planted: six Early Girl tomatoes, one Big Beef tomato, watermelon, zucchini, straight neck squash and Heirloom tomatoes (those were started from seeds). We also started Roma and Patio tomatoes in pots as well as yellow bell peppers and a wide variety of herbs. Here's to Justin-city slicker/amateur gardener. We will keep you posted with progress.
