Jamaica - Day 6

Our last day, so sad.  We found out our flights home were cancelled.  This wouldn't have been so bad except that the flight out of Jamaica was not cancelled, it was our flight from Atlanta home, so we had to spend the night in Atlanta. But - as we enjoyed our last Jamaican coffee and reflected on the trip, we decided we would definitely be taking this trip again.  Jamaica is beautiful!

Jamaica - Day 5, Part 2

Rick's Cafe and Bar, what a breathtaking place. When we arrived, I just sat back and took in the amazing views before my wild side couldn't sit still any longer and I decided to "take the plunge" and jump the cliffs.  I am totally afraid of heights, so this was huge for me!  Ken is a pro and jumped right off from the highest 35 foot cliff.  Justin did the smaller cliff (25 ft) then hit the bigger one (35 ft).  I was only able to muster enough courage for the 25 foot jump. It was exhilarating! Then we had appetizers and dessert (because we are on vacation after all) and drinks...lots of drinks, and then watched the sunset form their "worlds famous sunset" spot. This day will be burned into my memory forever.

Jamaica - Day 5, Part 1

Besides yesterdays "relax" day, this was my favorite day.  We had our driver take us on a beautiful scenic drive through different parts of Jamaica on our way to Negril.  Once in Negril, we ate at Margaritaville (finally for Justin!) and it was so cool, sand floors and right on the ocean.  Then we walked 7-mile beach and headed up to Ricks Cafe and Bar, which was so cool, it deserves it's own post.
The famous "Cheeseburger in Paradise" but this one has jerk sauce, because it is Jamaica after all!

Jamaica - Day 4

Beach/Pool relax day! That's all we did, and it was marvelous!  Nothing but sun, sand, sea, a bazillion fruity drinks with umbrellas, and pool time. It was perfect.
After an amazingly relaxing day, we had THE BEST dinner of all the nights.  It was an Italian place on the resort property and between the wine, stars, warm salty sea air, it was amazing.
