Jamaica - Day 3

Day after the hurricane.  We had our driver take us into downtown Montego Bay for lunch at Margaritaville (Justin's favorite) and shopping, but sadly almost all the restaurants were closed because of the hurricane.  The waves were insane!  We did find a place open, the Pelican, that served up local fare, which was just what I was looking for!  Pretty tasty.   

Jamaica - Day 2

Hurricane Sandy came in today!  The "calm before the storm" included a run on the beach with my cute friend Shelly (who happened to book the same vacation as us but a few days apart).  Later that afternoon we had our choice to lock ourselves in our rooms, or the bar.  We choose the bar (duh!).  

Jamaica - Day 1

While a little nervous about the hurricane approaching Jamaica, we didn't let it bother us too much. After all, they had not cancelled flights yet!  When we got to Jamaica, our friends Shelly and Jon met us there (they had booked the same trip, a couple days apart from us - but we had two days that overlapped).  We promptly changed into beach attire and walked around.

After seeing this on all the news sites, we were a bit scared!

Busy Boy

Alex has been doing all sorts of fun activities with his troop. I'm so happy he loves it! And big BIG news for little man! This year daddy decided he was old enough to go on the annual "men's" fly fishing trip to Flaming Gorge. I'm totally not lying or exaggerating when I say that Alex caught the biggest one. It's true! Just ask any of the other men who weren't to happy about his "beginners luck".

Baby Kail

Summer has custody of her baby nephew, Kailoe. We call him Baby K, Kail, peanut, and William. He's so darn cute. I have to admit I love playing "Auntie" to this cute little guy!
