Big Awards Little Man

Alex is doing so well in Boyscouts. He's only been doing it since March and he's already surpassed the other boys as far as badges and such. He really is fond of it! Here he is getting all the badges he worked on over the summer, including his Webelos badge (which none of the other boys have achieved yet). So proud of this kid!

Big First Day

Sieauna started middle school today, my beautiful 7th grader! Sad day for mom. And checkout little man. Not so little heading off to 5th grade today! Love those kids.

Silver Lake

I had the very fortunate opportunity to go with Alex and his Boyscouts troop to Silver Lake. It's a beautiful easy hike very close to home. This was the perfect place to reflect on God's beauty and spend some quality time with my little man. We completed a service project and picked up trash as we walked and talked about different animals and trees and all sorts of things. That little man of mine is pretty smart! I was impressed at all the stories he told and how much he remembers about things. It was absolutely beautiful.

Crossfit Sandy Summer BBQ

We got to hang out with our "other family" from Crossfit Sandy at a summer BBQ at Storm Mountain park. Everyone brought food. Justin cooked pulled pork on the green egg. Billy grilled up burgers. Tons of fruit and salads all around. Besides the food, there was tight rope walking (Alex's favorite), hand stands, football, catch, bean bag toss, and frisbee. We had planned a huge softball tournament, but the darn soccer teams took over the fields. Oh well, weather was great and we always love hanging out with our friends.

I think Sieauna is almost ready to donate her hair again. Man it grows fast. As does she. Love that beautiful girl!

Just blew my old dead lift record out of the water. 255 pounds baby. Boo-Yah.

Lagoon Day

Every year Summer's awesome parents treat us to a day at the amusement park, Lagoon. The kids love it and this year both kids put their fears aside and rode ALL the roller coasters! They are little dare devils I tell you! The adults especially enjoyed it this year because the kids were finally old enough to go off on their own. It was a great day.

Alex Gets Glasses!

Man he is handsome!! This should help with his not being able to see distances. He was so cute when he first put them on. He kept asking me if I knew there were "leaves on the trees" or "different colors in Sissy's hair" and "I can see the church up the road from my house!" I told him I felt bad for not getting them sooner and he said "it's ok mom, but next time your kid complains he can't see for a year, you should probably take him in to get glasses." Thanks Alex. I'll do that.

Girls Night Out

Summer took me to see Brandi Carlisle in concert at the gorgeous Red Butte Garden. Low and behold we ran into Tracy and Holli!! Couldn't have been more perfect. Brandi was awesome.
