Red Pine Lake Trail

After Bethanie took me on a small portion of this beautiful hike, I knew I wanted to finish it. So, one Sunday when the boys were brewing some beer, Shelly, Krissie, Emma and I decided to hike it! It was hard! It gets really, REALLY steep. The views were worth it! Krissie and Emma turned back a few miles in while Shelly and I trekked through to the top. The lake was so pretty and we felt so accomplished!  I swore I'd probably never do it again until the following weekend when Justin asked me to go with him. Of course I said yes and off we were again! This trail is rated "hard" and is a little over seven miles. Totally worth it though, the views and memories are unbelievable! Justin even brought up his fly rod to tempt the fishes. They wouldn't bite, but still lots of fun.

Softball Blanket

After lots of years of softball jerseys, I decided to cut them up and make Sieauna a blanket so she could keep a collection of her softball uniforms.  I dedicated a weekend and went for it. It isn't perfect by any means, but it's close enough and she loves it.

"Lighting the "A"

Sieauna had a fun experience as incoming students at Utah State University participated in the annual Connections Luminary, a new tradition at the institution. Students enrolled in the USU 1010 Connections course will each light a luminary lantern shaped like the tower of Old Main, and will participate in a processional from the Spectrum to the USU Quad on the Logan campus.

“Lighting the “A” blue signifies a victory or honor bestowed upon the university or its students,” said President Cockett. “During their time at USU, students will encounter personal victories — both small and large — that they can compare to “lighting the A blue.” 

She also snapped some photos of how she decorated her dorm for fall. We sure miss her but she's having a great time away at college. 

High School Junior

He's halfway done with high school! Alex is a junior this year.  So far he loves his schedule and is taking some tough classes. I am excited to see what this year brings for this handsome dude. Love you son!
