We had such a fun time at the Quail Hollow Fun Run/Walk. It was one mile with LOTS of kids, parents, grandparents, Radio Disney, Mayor Tom Dolan and all sorts of hype! Our school was awarded the Platinum Medal-that means we are very healthy, fitness oriented school with no food or treats as rewards and the kids are required to walk a 1/4 mile everyday! The school was awarded a check from the mayor and my kids even won an award for having one of the highest donations! They scored big time and took home a bike helmet, water bottle, 4 tickets to the Aquarium, a Webkins, a DVD and lots of little stuff. AWESOME! Thanks to our wonderful parents (both sides) who participated for their grand kids.
I am so glad they do this instead of cookie dough fundraiser. I mean don't get me wrong, I love cookie dough as much as the next person, but ugh who needs it and Sis can't eat it anyway. :)
(PS-Yes, Justin is flipping me off in the 2nd picture. Well, not me really, it's a rivalry thing. The race was held at my old stomping grounds, Brighton High (GO BENGALS!) and he hated Brighton because he's Skyline blood. Boo Hoo for him!)
