Houston, We Have Lift Off...

After the soccer game today, Shon and Holli kidnapped my kids (so sweet to let me have a nap and rest my sick body) and took them to launch rockets! They had a serious blast. I think this may be a new pasttime as Alex promptly yelled "Mom, we need to get me a rocket!" upon entering the house.

Thanks guys, for showing my kids such an "awesome" time. Love you guys!

No, I am not cheering for my high school, I'm cheering for Sieauna's soccer team! Today was their first game and she did awesome! She played goalie for awhile and then forward. She is a natural and having a fun time. The Bengal Tigers won their first game. Can I get a woot woot!

1st Day Of School 2009

The kids started school today and I, um, I mean they were so excited!! Sieauna is starting 4Th and Alex started 2ND. This is a big year for us all. Sieauna got reading glasses and the biggest news, the kids get to eat hot lunch - Sieauna too!
I talked with the head nutritionist at Canyons School District and this year they are certified peanut, tree-nut free! Also, any of their distributors must adhere to providing the district with paperwork showing they are not only nut free, but there is no manufacturing of, and nothing is processed with nuts. YAY for us!!!So when I picked up the kids today, Sieauna's favorite thing was that she got to eat hot lunch and Alex said meeting his teacher. They had a fun day.

Cute Holli. I adore that girl. She made me this wine glass and etched a picture of my "if I get a tattoo, this is what it will be" design into the glass. I love love love it!!! Thank you Holli.

A Busy Week in the Life of a Princess

My baby girl has had a big week! She started soccer for the first time, got reading glasses to help her see up close (she has a touch of far-sightedness) and lost a tooth! She is super excited for school to start next week as well! She was also allowed to upgrade her medical ID bracelet this year to one with beads that looks more like a designer bracelet than a medical ID one. She is anxiously awaiting that to arrive in the mail. Busy busy busy princess.

Garden Treasures

Yum. Fall is fast approaching and one of the MANY things I love about fall is the produce and reaping the benefits from hard garden work.

This year Justin planted a lot of things we haven't planted in the past so I am especially excited! Here are some samples of what is growing at our house:

It's that time again. Time for school shopping! This year Sieauna was excited to do most of our shopping at Justice. 4Th grade here she comes! Here is a sample of little miss fashion herself.

Weekend Project-a-roonie!

We did MASSIVE yard work this weekend. We took out a couple trees in the front yard, ripped out a bunch of bushes and the biggest project was to turn this blah area into something fantastic. Wah-la! I made Justin a little piece of Arizona, complete with water feature. I LOVE IT! It is so inviting. Who wants to come over for a glass of wine?

Roller Skating - 70's Style!

OMGosh! We had SUCH a fun time last night skating it up at our awesome friend Shon's 40Th birthday bash. He rented out Classic skating. It was just us and the entire rink. Clad in our best 70's attire, we skated the night away to his groovy song favorites. I honestly don't know who had more fun, us or the kids!

Justin, well, classic Justin, he took my breath away when he came out wearing his cutoffs. He is so cool. I love that man. (Tee hee!). Then, he got the party shakin' again when he donned a Grim Reaper outfit complete with skull hands and a scythe. AWESOME! He rocks. I love that I have a party man.

Anyway, check out the fun pictures. I wish I would have been older than five in the 70's. Seems it was a really groovy era. Happy birthday Shon!
