First Ever Digital Scrapbook Page

So after reading through the tutorials, I think I figured out the bare minimal basics to this digital scrapbooking thing. Remember, this is my very first. I hope to get lots of pointers and really make these look good!

We enjoyed the first real day of Spring by putting out the lawn furniture and throwing a surprise bar-b-que birthday party for our wonderful friend Holli. She was SO surprised!!! Justin cooked up some awesome garlic burgers and the ladies enjoyed Summer's mango coconut rum concoction. Way fun night. Happy birthday sweet Holli!

St. Patty's Day - 5Th Annual

Once again we enjoyed the food, friends, and fun at Paul & Laura's 5Th annual St. Patty's Day party. My parents, Justin's parents, the kids and our amazing hosts Paul & Laura, shared in some horse time, train time, and just plain fun with family time. We love Auntie Laura and Uncle Paul. Especially Paul's cornbeef. The kids couldn't even wait to start dinner and were on seconds by the time we all sat down for dinner! This year Alex got to say the dinner prayer. It was so sweet! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

Happy 34th Birthday To Me!

Happy birthday to me! What a fun day. I went to pick up my parents from the airport and came home to a dozen beautiful roses and awesome breakfast. Then I got in a 6.35 mile run and after that, some relaxation lazy time watching cooking shows with Justin, preparing for the evenings festivities.

We met up with our closest friends at a dance club and celebrated mine and sweet Holli's birthday in style. We danced the night away!! Thanks to everyone who made it such a special day for me.

Yuck! Shingles? Not Part Of The Plan Stan.

Okay, so just when I am pumped up to get into full-on training mode for the half marathon (less than 7 weeks to go -by the way) I start feeling really lousy. I felt like I had a bad flu without a fever. Really run down, tired - no exhausted was more like it. On Tuesday I started feeling itchy on my back. On Wednesday the itchy turned to a pain kinda like needles being poked into my back. By Thursday, I had a full blown shingles rash, and the pain, and the flu like symptoms. I talked to the doc and she put me on a round of meds for both the pain and the breakout. MAN! Did someone upstairs forget that I am suppose to be training for what is to be the next biggest accomplishment of my life? Helllllllllllooooooooooooo? I don't have time for this!

So Friday I laid around most of the day and went to Justin's partners retirement party. It was bitter sweet. We will miss Steve, but Justin is now part owner of the company he's put so many long hours into. I think that party did me in because I spent all Saturday in bed, asleep. Thank you hunny for watching the kids all day while I slept. Today I've done some things around the house and yard but am still taking it easy while I recoup. WOW, who knew a few little bumps could wear me down so hard?
