New Year's Eve

After stopping by our neighbors party for a bit,  Justin and I hunkered down at home with the kids and watched the ball drop on tv. It was quiet, it was family, it was perfect.  Oh, and we also made great use of our phone and took some majorly awesome selfies, which we promptly texted to all our friends at midnight. Happy New Year! Can't wait to see what 2018 holds.

The Legend of Zelda - Symphony of the Goddesses

Alex and Sieauna wanted more than anything for Santa to bring them tickets to see The Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses. Santa thought they had been extraordinarily good kids throughout the year, so he obliged.  They had "One of the best nights of their lives".  I am so glad the two of them are so close. We dropped them off at Abravanel Hall downtown and they went all by themselves while mom and dad had a date night. When we picked them up, I was amazed at their excitement and wonder. They had an amazing time.

Look Out! He's Legal!

But really, I'm not worried about his driving. This kid is cautious and courteous. I'm so proud of the man he is turning into. He got his license and is loving the freedom he has! Not gonna lie, I'm enjoying the fact that he can drive himself to his friends! Congratulations on this HUGE step Alex! We love you to pieces!

Christmas at Home

Following a super quiet, delicious Christmas Eve dinner at mom's, we had a wonderfully busy Christmas Day at home this year. We included both sides of the family and it was a full house! 18 people made the laughter abundant.  I love our families and am so grateful we were able to share it with all of them.

Tracy's Annual Ornament Party

I can't remember if this was the 10th or 11th annual ornament party that Tracy has thrown, but I will tell you that I look forward to it...Every.Single.Year! She is an amazing host and we always have such a fun time with friends in a pretty-dang-competitive trading for the best ornament-party! It's always great to see these wonderful women.

Pierogi 2018

Time for our yearly chaotic bliss.  God bless my parents for putting up with us and our crazy antics and a whole lot of flour and mess!  I sure love this family of mine and our Polish traditions. Oh, and a very happy birthday to Ruthie who turned 13!
