Coalville

Ken and Kathy decided to come into town and camp at our favorite spot in Coalville over the 24th of July weekend.  We drove up and spent some wonderful time catching up and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Bathroom Remodel

While it sucked having to tear apart the bathroom when we were not expecting in (see back to February), we sure do like the way it turned out.

A Night with the Parents

Justin had to work late, so I spent the evening with the parents. We had such a great time laughing and reminiscing. I sure love them!

25th Anniversary

While we didn't expect to be going through a worldwide pandemic on our 25th Wedding Anniversary, we did expect to be doing whatever we were doing, together.  I love this man to the ends of the universe and we are so excited to spend the next 25 years together!

Graduation!

Despite the many, MANY struggles and uncertainties in these very different and hard times when we have learned that we can not expect anything normal, Alex showed amazing resiliency and pushed his way through graduating with high honors.  While graduation didn't look like a traditional high school graduation, it was certainly an awesome experience.

First, our neighborhood did a parade for all the graduating kids.  We drove around with a decorated car while people came out of their houses and gave Alex gifts and shouted cheers of accomplishments.  It was so cool! Some of these people we have never met, but they still took time to come out of their homes and celebrate a total stranger with gifts and love affirmations.

Next we had the actual graduation.  A police procession drove us down 2300 E. while onlookers came out and cheered.  We pulled into the school yard and the teachers lined the street waving and cheering all the way to the podium where Alex got out of the car and walked on stage to be given his awards and accolades.  We watched from the car and were blown away by the amount of work and energy all the school staff put into making this a special moment for these seniors.  It was perfect!

Off to grandma and grandpas we went to celebrate Alex's amazing accomplishments.  We are so proud of this kid! Love you son.  Can't wait to see what you do with your life. If you can push through during a worldwide pandemic, you can do ANYTHING!
