Snowshoeing at Dimple Dell

Heather asked if I'd like to go snowshoeing and I was so excited! I hadn't been in years. I borrowed my mom and dad's snowshoes (in fact,we all did!) and we trekked out on this absolutely gorgeous crisp, clear morning. It was Tracy's first time! She did great. Hard to believe this beautiful trail is literally right in our backyard. What a beautiful place we live. Such a great time! I can't wait to do it again.

Think I'll Make A Blanket Today

One cold, boring Sunday I was looking on Pinterest (such a bad pastime) and I saw this:

I loved it and wanted one, in grey, for my living room. Or office. Or maybe bedroom. I don't know, I just knew I wanted one. But....whooooowey are they pricy! So. I decided to make one. I poked around on YouTube for a few minutes and next thing I knew I was dragging Sieauna down to the yarn store. 

Three hours later............

Sieauna Turns 18!

It's official. My "baby" girl is no longer a baby. She's a full blown adult. Now that she's an adult, she gets to do adult things, like.....get a matching tattoo with her mommy! I won't lie, when she asked me months ago if she and I could get a matching tattoo for her birthday, I was pretty happy. So, on the actual day of her birthday, we made an appointment.  She got to pick what the tattoo was and where she wanted it.  I just had to agree to get the same thing in the same place.  How cool is that? I was afraid (and so was she) that she would chicken out as soon as we got to the salon, but this girl held strong and went through with it! I am so proud of her because I know that was a huge step for her. She HATES needles! I am so very impressed with the young woman she has become.

We finished her birthday festivities by dining at La Caille, her birthday wish. 

Happy 18th baby! We love you so much. Welcome to adulthood!

Big J and the Double 22.

Justin wasn't thrilled with turning 44 this year. I'm not sure why because he's still just as hot as the day I met him, but maybe getting older isn't all about the looks? In any case, we enjoyed a quiet night at home with some home cooked German food and family time. Happy birthday Justin. You are the love of my life and I don't care how "old" you get!

Office Remodel

Justin and I hated our home "office". It's right off the entry so it's one of the first things you see when you come in the house. We decided to give it a makeover and I am IN LOVE with the results! Thank you to Pinterest for the ideas, and to Justin for saying "yes" to all my wishes and desires! I really think this room turned out to be a true reflection of both mine and Justin's personal tastes. I love the rustic modern look and he loves the steel industrial aspect. I am so happy with the finished project and actually enjoy my long hours studying. I am so grateful for a talented, willing to roll up his sleeves and put his back into it, stud husband!
