New Orleans

We signed up to run the Rock-N-Roll Half marathon in New Orleans and while most of us didn't run (we walked), the rest of the trip was so much fun!  So many inside jokes between wonderful friends (Tom Troubador anyone?) Justin has always wanted to go to New Orleans and we had lots of recommendations for restaurants and things to do. In the end, we did a lot of drinking, eating, walking and just taking in the amazingness of New Orleans. The art, the people, the food, the friends, it was all so magical. This was Shannon's first half marathon, and an item on her bucket list, which made it all the more special.  The swamp tour was really cool to experience and I felt a real sense of true creep when we walked through the cemetery.  We can't wait to go back again.

Valentine's Day 2018

I love Valentine's Day. It's just another day I get to let these kids and hunny know how much I love them.  Alex went to the dance with Lexi and Sieauna went stag with Lauren. They looks great! Justin spoiled me with some beautiful roses. Happy Valentine's Day! 

Rachel Hollis Book Signing with Holli

Sweetest Holli invited me to share her birthday present with her!  She was given two tickets to the Rachel Hollis book signing and she took me as her +1! What a great time. We started the evening with a quick bite to eat and then went to a fun boutique called Evereve, where Rachel was doing the signing.  Two cute gals hooked Holli and I up with lots of outfits to try on and then the fun began! Rachel came out and gave a very inspiring speech, gave us each signed books, and let us take photos with her.  While the whole evening was a blast, the best part was just hanging out with Holli.  What a fun evening. I am so grateful for good friends.

Snowshoeing at Dimple Dell

Heather asked if I'd like to go snowshoeing and I was so excited! I hadn't been in years. I borrowed my mom and dad's snowshoes (in fact,we all did!) and we trekked out on this absolutely gorgeous crisp, clear morning. It was Tracy's first time! She did great. Hard to believe this beautiful trail is literally right in our backyard. What a beautiful place we live. Such a great time! I can't wait to do it again.
