Alex's University of Learning Graduation

Alex worked really hard to complete three degrees in the University of Learning program at his school. He achieved his Technical, Associates, and Bachelor degrees. I am so proud of him and his determination to complete these degrees.

Memorial Day at the Cabin

Mom and Dad hosted a Memorial Day/Jason, Jen, Jeremy, Amber birthday party at the cabin. Although unseasonably cold, it was still fun to let the cousins play together, go 4-wheeling, do some fishing, and chow down on super yummy bar-be-cue foods. Way to go mom! Great party.

Scottsdale Sun

We just returned from an extremely relaxing vacation in the HOT Arizona sun. We went for no other reason than to relax. No plans other than to golf, get massages, and spend a lot of time at the pool. We went with Ken and Kathy and stayed in a condo on TPC Championship Course and had an awesome time. One night we just sat around watching a movie at the pool and had pizza delivered right to the pool! Justin, Ken and Alex played the gorgeous TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course, twice! Kathy and I got in a spa day with salt/sugar scrubs and facials at Vu Spa in Fountain Hills. That place was amazing and after our treatments, the guys came up and met us for lunch. We had the entire place to ourselves and just relaxed with some wine and good food. The gals did lots of shopping. Every morning we'd all sit on the patio at the condo and sip coffee while watching the bunnies, birds and even a coyote! I even got in two workouts at the local CrossFit in Scottsdale, "Urban Warfit". Did I mention it was HOT? It was 108 the first day! Crazy but so wonderful and rejuvenating. Just what we needed.

1st Camping Trip of 2012 - Coalville

We could not stand one more day in the city, so when Kathy called me and said "We're going camping this weekend, get up here", I happily obliged. We loaded up the camper, took off Friday after work and came home Sunday. It was just what we needed to clear our minds from work and the crazy hectic schedules. We love Coalville and that it's so close, yet so NOT the everyday city life. Great way to start off the camping year.

Color Me Bad

We ran a fun, family 5K with our good friends this year and what a great time! The Color Me Bad Race is like the Dirty Dash, but instead of mud, you get covered with colored corn starch! The kids had a total ball. I was still recovering from my knee troubles, so my kind friends walked most of the race with me. Great time and we will definitely do it again next year.

Salt Lake City Half Marathon

This year I decided to run the half marathon with Justin at the last minute. My friend and trainer, Chelsea, ran it with me. The day started out horrible with Justin's wallet, phone and our car keys getting stolen off the train. But, he made it to the start line on time and was able to run off his agression. We never recovered our items, but we ran and I happened to make my best half time yet with 2:11. It helps when you have someone pushing you and not allowing you to stop!

CrossFit Photo Shoot

My cute friend and amazing photographer asked if she could use me for some CrossFit photos. She is very talented and I think they turned out pretty cool. Here are just a few of the photos.

Mom Prom

This year, for Holli's 40th birthday, she threw a "Mom Prom" complete with disco ball and all! Since I'd never been to prom, I was really excited to rent a dress and dance the night away. Even though my date got sick and had to stay home with our sick son, Sieauna and I had a great time dancing with our friends. Happy birthday Holli!
