On Your Mark...Get Set...GO!

Kathy and Ken hosted their first annual Kentucky Derby party at their home and it was a smashing success! We dressed up in the funnest hats and attire, sipped mint juleps and enjoyed each others company while watching the fastest two minutes in sports. The party was perfect in every detail including authentic Kentucky burgoo, bourbon balls and bourbon cheesecake. We even did a little "betting" and Paul ended up taking home the pot with his winning horse, "Animal Kingdom". Thanks guys for hosting a super fun event! Can't wait until next year.

Constant Motivation

I had been trying to figure out what to do with the medals Justin and I have been acquiring from our races. To date they've been collecting dust in a basket. Then I found this! I love it! It makes me feel like running every time I look at it and since I hung it right in the living room, talk about some constant motivation!

Bits N' Pieces

Due to many, many, many, many, MANY years of struggling with certain issues, I finally had a few of my bits and pieces removed. Ahh, there. Now life will be a little easier. Nuff' said.

Our New Hobby - Medical Bills to Follow Shortly

Easter Egg Deco

Amber and the kids came over while Kitty was in town for a visit and we put the kids to work - decorating eggs that is! They had such a fun time and we adults loved watching them and all their creativity.

Inspration - Vintage Style

Kitty bought me this FABULOUS vintage cake carrier at an antique shop. I am IN LOVE! Seriously. I need to go make a cake NOW! Thank you Kitty!

RETIREMENT! About Time Dad. Congrats!

After many, many years of allowing my brothers and I to feel like we had everything in the world, my dad took his well deserved retirement. We celebrated "Young" style with a surprise party at the Spaghetti Factory. Then another surprise party with friends at our wine tasting. I am so thankful my dad (and mom) worked their tails off to give us kids everything. I was totally spoiled (I know...you're thinking: Kelly, spoiled? No way!) but really, my parents worked their butts off for us. I love you dad. Congratulations!

Do Two Halves Make A Whole? - Pfft, I Wish!

Justin: 2:16:45
Kelly: 2:33:04

Justin and I ran another 1/2 marathon does that mean we've ran a full marathon? HAHA I wish!!! Justin, awesome guy that he is, KILLED it beating his old time by 28 minutes! I on the other hand really, really need to get my IT band/hip situation under control. I came in three minutes later than my previous time. Hey - at least I'm consistent right?! Professional pics to come later.

AIRBORNE!

These are some crazy kids. Wish I was that brave. ;

Our Newest Addition - Stella

Meet our newest baby, Stella-Luna. She is our rescue puppy. I found her on the Internet and when we went to go see her, it was clear she needed rescuing. Her little brother had been stepped on and killed and she (at 12 weeks) had a TV fallen on her little back leg. The owner/breeder practically paid us to take her! We all fell immediately in love and she is such a joy. Lilly just loves her!
